Back in 1999, Nimish “Nimmy D” Desai joined his cousin Rocky Patel in an unknown cigar company called Indian Tabac, and he has remained ever since.
Later, with the company formally renamed Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Nimish aided his cousin in growing the business by working brand-building events, creating relationships with national accounts, and hosting tour groups at Rocky’s Honduran factory and operations. For nearly 20 years, Nimish has served as the company’s Vice President of Operations, overseeing cigar production and quality control for all brands imported from Rocky’s Nicaraguan and Honduran factories.
In 2014, Nimish released his eponymous cigar brand to the marketplace aptly called Nimmy D. The brand is rolled at Rocky’s TaviCusa factory, and much like his cousins Nish and Rocky, Nimish spends much of his time on the road promoting his cigar – along with the many other cigar lines in the RP portfolio – at various tobacconist events. And if you’re one of those lucky consumers who’s met and partied with the one and only Nimmy D, you know what a big personality the big man has!
